What Are Insomnia Cookies? And Can You Get Them in the UK?
If you've been at a US university at any point in the last decade, you probably know Insomnia Cookies. They're the American brand that delivers warm cookies late at night till like 3am! Insomnia have a cult following off the back of it in the US!
They're not quite the same thing as Crumbl. But they've got big, indulgent, American cookies that people on this side of the Atlantic keep seeing on social media and immediately want.
So — can you get them in the UK?
What are Insomnia Cookies?
Insomnia Cookies is a US chain that started near college campuses and grew from there. Their whole thing is late-night delivery of warm, freshly baked cookies. The cookies themselves are softer and chewier than your average biscuit — more American in style — and they do classic flavours like chocolate chip, double chocolate, and snickerdoodle alongside more loaded options.
They're less about the frosted, over-the-top presentation of Crumbl and more about comfort. A warm cookie at midnight kind of vibe. They also do cookie cakes, brownies, and ice cream sandwiches.
Are Insomnia Cookies in the UK?
Yes they have 1 in Manchester that we know of, potentially a couple more springing up in the big cities.
They don't ship in the UK yet though that we know of!
Why do people in the UK want Insomnia Cookies?
Mostly social media. A lot of UK students study abroad or visit the US and come back having tried them. Others just see them constantly on TikTok or in YouTube vlogs and want to know if they can get something similar here.
The late-night delivery angle is also genuinely appealing. The idea of a warm cookie arriving at your door at 1am is hard to argue with. We cant deliver ours warm (well unless its in a heatwave but you can easily pop them in the microwave for 10 second blast and you have them back to out of the oven freshness.
What's the UK equivalent of Insomnia Cookies?
There isn't a direct UK equivalent that does the same late-night delivery model yet. But if what you're actually after is a really good American-style cookie delivered to your door, that's something we can help with.
